Hey all,

Has anyone else been having issues using Netflix with Slingshot global mode in the last week or so?

For some weird reason I have playback issues with both of my Roku's as well as LG TV app. However, my Hulu plus on all devices continues to work fine. I have the right DNS routes configured to block google DNS, etc. Both Rokus are f/w 6.1 and LG WebOS 1.3 (i think).

When selecting a title to play they start to load and return a "content not available at this time" error. Yet if I play content from my PC via the Netflix site or android app they play fine...strange. It's almost as if the roku and LG app are trying to hit a different content server or something??

Maybe this has something to do with Netflix coming to NZ officially shortly? Maybe they have local content servers being prepped and don't have all the content cached locally? Argh, its really bugging me. I think next I'm going to try a third-party DNS/VPN proxy service and see how that goes.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Ben

Working fine for me and I'm only on ADSL 2+ global mode slingshot and using Apple TV. I don't think your issue has anything to do with changes by Netflix I been using it heavily last few days without issue.

Hey OP, annecdotally I've had mixed success with Roku but it should still work. Are you able to flick me a message with some details of your account and setup?

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Slingshot,

I have all but given up trying to connect my Roku 3 up so I can watch Netflix US through Global mode. I have unlimited fibre and the Slinghot Router that you supply. I understand I have to set up some static routes etc but to no avail.

Do you have a solution for this issue?

Many thanks
