Hi there I'm on Spark Vdsl at the moment, but now i want to also get  Snap adsl2 with interleaving turned off on the same phone line, is it possible?I use to be on DLM 1 on vdsl pinging 6-8 ms now getting 40ms on hardwired pc and its getting worse for my gaming, so i wouldn't mind paying for adsl2 with interleaving off through Snap.

Bw this is my modem stats Asus n66u...

You will need a second line.

There can only be one xDSL service per line.

At the other end of your phone line, down at your local cabinet, your phone line is connected to either a VDSL card or an ADSL card. If you want both, you need to pay rental for two lines.

Also interleaving is referred to as error correction, on some lines it is worse turning interleaving off versus keeping it on and for most people you won't notice any difference between from 8ms to 40ms (your reaction time is greater than this). When gamers say they can notice a difference in-game between lets say 20ms ping and 40ms ping they're referring to an effect known as the placebo effect as it has been proven time and time again that the few ms in delay is not actually noticeable if you didn't know the latency in the first place.

If the ping was 80+ms you start noticing "slight lag" where slight is very very minuscule and you wouldn't know unless if you actually looked at the latency.

When I first started online gaming with Counterstrike I was playing over an ADSL connection with 200+ms ping and was able to play fine. Sometimes the change in latency can be due to routing changes or many other reasons. If you give us more details with the game you're playing then I am sure those of us on UFB plans (including myself) can run a ping test on the server you're playing on (if you know the IP) to give you a fair idea what the ping actually is.

Playing granturismo6 drags so I notice differences between 20 and 30 ms .

You wouldn't notice latency here due to it being timed off the internal clock of the PSX vs network latency - basically, if you lose you lose because of skill and / or your car and not because of latency otherwise the drag will be totally and utterly pointless.

What you're noticing is often referred to a placebo.

I wouldn't bother - you honestly won't notice a difference.
