Hey, gang, our telephone is shot. What's a good one to match to our VoIP connection using a Fritzbox? I have the fritz loaded with names and numbers and I want a phone to take advantage of it. At the very least I want to see the caller names on the screen in case I want to ignore it. Has to not interfere with wifi signals. Can't cost the earth! A decent range, cordless, charges itself, don't want batteries. Doesn't need super advanced features since VoIP handles all the voice messaging and whatnot.

Makes, models or links would be great, I'll be ordering it online since I'm in the boonies.

Thank you for any suggestions, Hubby bought the last one. In fact I don't think I've ever bought a house phone...

I have the cheapest Panasonic that you can get on Flybuys. I doubt it integrates with the Fritz phone book, I just use it like a dumb phone.

I have a Siemens Gigaset. Had it for over 2 years. It's been great. Talks to the fRitz wirelessly without a single issue.

If you wanted a truly seamless solution you could ask Snap how much for the Fritzfon.

$138 when you're signing up for a connection.  If they sell it for the same outright it seems like a pretty decent deal.

As per the threads Timmmay linked, it's worth noting that the caller ID doesn't work with many of the cheaper handsets when you use the fritz as the DECT base station. In my case it works fine when I plug the panasonic base station into the FON port on the fritzbox.

stay away from Uniden, i could never get caller id working on it . I switched to the cheapest panasonic and caller id worked.

also you can use your mobile as a normal phone by downloading the fon app and setting up your mobile to work through the fritzbox. works well.

Yes, I have that phone app, it does work well. So does the iPad! I like the cheapest flybuys Panasonic idea. Our old, cheap phone has always just showed the caller ID correctly so I'm going to take a punt on the Panasonic. It would be great if it works.

Thanks for the links and threads too, I did look at them all.
