It'd be nice to be able to stream 1080p video on youtube.

you can now, you only need less than 10mbps to stream a 1080p video and 3g is more than capable of that.

I might need to check my phone settings or something. Since 1080p video buffers occasionally on my S4 advance.

having 4g probably wont change that, could be any number of things causing the buffering.

I was in Invercargill today (airport) and didn't notice 4G on 2D, sorry.

@Jase2985, 4G isn't just about speed... its about capacity. So yes, 1080p youtube videos would be immensely better on 4G than 3G.

I use 4G all the time,  both Spark and 2D, and for downloading/streaming massive files/remote desktop, and I find it painful to go back to 3G speeds.

Side note: I have a Samsung S5 on Spark, and a Samsung Tab S 10.5 on 2 Degrees. I find 2 Degrees serves a way better experience using 4G than Spark. Web site response times seem better and files download faster. My remote desktop connections to local NZ servers seem more responsive too..
(No official tests done sorry, and the device may have something to do with it, however the S5 is pretty powerful).

The nearest 2degrees 4G cell site (well licence) is up in Dunedin, so you might have to travel a fair distance for faster youtube!
