Hi,

Finally had my connection to orcon ufb completed last friday

All seemed to be ok

Until today at 10am...no more internet and of course, no more landline

Rang orcon...40min phone call with usual turn off/on modem, ONT etc

Says everything looks ok there end...logged a ticket

About 7 hours later- still no internet

ONT shows occasional flashing green light, sometimes solid green.

Modem shows solid green WAN with no internet light

Anyone else been having issues? Based out west auckland

Not that impressed since as I've had ufb for exactly 1 week only

Sorry for the trouble.  I've had a look and cannot see anything obvious wrong.

You could try turning the router (not ONT) off and on again, also just ensure the cable is into the WAN interface on the white router.  The ONT should have a solid/flickering green light for Optical and for LAN.

Beyond that, I can see that all the proper troubleshooting has been done and there is a ticket lodged for the assure team.  They will pick it up and make sure you are looked after.

Thanks for looking buddy

Ive reset router again and unplugged/replugged wan wires with no success

The net just seemed to die at 10

1/2 way through an hour video on youtube everything just stopped

Hoping its not out all weekend!

Edit- the green light for optical on ont is solid/sometimes flashes. The lAN light is solid orange and always been like that i think

I have the same kind of issue since 4pm today. ONT looks good, Genius sees no internet.

 

This is in Epsom and have had UFB for about a year now. Logged call, did many resets, no change.

 

Possible authentication issue with Genius connecting to Orcon?

Still down the morning.

Lights still say im good but no inet access.

Diagnostics on pc come back with "dns server isnt responding"

try googles DNS servers as a test to see if it changes

8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

as for how, try a quick Google search on how to do it, as i have no idea what OS you are using. it really is amazing what information there is available for free on Google.

I tried 8.8.8.8 into the settings in my modem- no change

I know google is great for info...but browsing with an iphone 4 using only mobile data i find a frustrating experience

That's why i asked "how?"...only if you knew off the top of your head

Btw, im using both win 7 on desktop and safari on mac

I have same issue, internet and phone was down 3 days ago.
Wan light is solid green on the modem,but internet light is off. On the ONT, optical light is solid green. Both of the device were restarted many times during the phone call between help desk and me. Fault ticked was lodged as what I was told. The issue was not resolved. Can anyone help me with this?

sounds identical to my problem

came back on around lunchtime today....so maybe 26 hours down

they never told me how they fixed it, but id be chasing them up after 3 days with no internet or phone
