Have just returned from 6 weeks in North America. Prior to leaving I phoned 2deg and asked how I could use my prepay phone whilst away - help said just turn on your phone on arrival and it should work. I did and was immediately on AT&T network - a few moments later a text from 2deg welcoming me to USA and advising me of the charges which were very reasonable. I travelled in California, Georgia and Alabama and service was great.
Slightly offtopic but I was also quite nicely surprised to see that I can divert calls to another number while being on prepaid. On the big two as far as I know it's not possible.
