Been with them for three months. No complaints with service and support. Calls are answered quickly and they usually ring back a day or two later to check that my question has been answered.
Yes MyRepublic will provide service to basically any property with access to the UFB network, anywhere in the country including Christchurch. Use their address checker and the Enable address checker at http://www.enable.net.nz/when.html to see when fibre is available on your street.
We signed up in November 2014. After getting the consents from the neighbours in our shared driveway and getting the work scoped in December 2014, Enable completed the exterior cable trenching in early February and did the final installation on 13/2. You just have to be patient waiting for your fibre install as there is quite a backlog of people signing up to UFB.
We have really enjoyed their service and have nothing to complain about. We get about 92/19 on our 100/20 plan. I have found using their online chat service on their website to be the easiest and fastest way to get in contact with them but you can phone them and get through pretty quickly too.
good to know, fibre is not available on our road yet.
whats annoying is it is available 100m or so up the road one side of our place & about 300m up the road on the other side! there's just a big empty coverage spot where we are, go figure! there's a lot of businesses right near us too.
guess ill have to just wait and put up with slow net till its available.....
I filled in their online form to get notified when its available in my area.
thats was months ago now.
But curious to know if its in ChCh & if so, is it good? good speeds? service etc?
As others have said, yes we are in ChCh. As the batches of addresses are ready, we try to contact everyone who registered, but it's not a same-day thing. If you have reason to think your address is ready now (you saw the work in the street, a neighbor got installed), feel free to go back to the sign-up page and try again.
Feel free to PM me your address and I'll look it up and see if I can give you any additional details.
It's not always quick. ChCh will be done before Auckland, but Auckland won't be done before about 2020. So some will have another 5+ years to wait. We do what we can, but we are constrained by the LFCs for schedule of availability.
