Hi,

I am using a 2Degrees USB modem (Huawei E3131) with Debian 7 and able to access the internet and browse on port 80, and ping websites so I am online.

The HiLink software config at 192.168.1.1 allows me to use different profiles for an APN, and the one that I am using is called 'internet' by default.

When I try to telnet to a server on a different TCP port, the connection is rejected. I know that over another internet connection there is no problem using this TCP port.

Is there a different APN I should be using if I want to use another port other than 80?

Thanks for any clues, John

Just to answer my own question:

use the "direct" APN, works great.

Sorry about that!
