The title says it all....sorry, I know how boring these threads are for the 99% of people who don't have this phone.

Can anyone from 2degrees help?

To save clogging up GZ I did look on the 2degrees website, and got all excited when I found the the android software updates page, but it looks like it hasn't been updated (haha) for ages.

Hi turb

We haven't received the test software for this yet so can't give an ETA I'm afraid, sorry.

Once we do we have to ensure it works with our products and services before we give the go ahead for Samsung to roll it out to our customers.

Regards
^POB

I started that discussion a while back. I took the plunge and installed Marshmallow myself - skipping lollipop altogether.

Given how long we've waited for lollipop I doubt we were ever going to get marshmallow.

Instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5-mini/development/g800f-m-y-cyanogenmod-13-0-g800f-m-y-t3234909

It's scary, but as long as you do it slowly, carefully and exactly it works.

Marshmallow is working beautifully on my phone, it's waaay faster than before, whether it's because there's no bloatware, or it's just more efficient I don't know.

The best thing about it is that among the many user settings, you can turn off the Home Button Wake feature. The home button used to get pressed in my pocket, the phone would heat up alarmingly and the battery would go flat.
The weird thing is that once that process starts, it seems to continue even when you take the phone out of your pocket. The only cure seems to be to take the battery out, let it cool down for 20 min, then reassemble and reboot. ....And find a charger!

The internet says you can fix the home button thing by just rooting, and editing the keyboard file, but when I did it, all the buttons stopped working, including the power button.

The only downside I've noticed is no HDR mode on the camera.
