It's a slightly complicated story, but the bottom line is we're now into our 4th day without internet.

The problem started on Monday evening after I requested a plan change to naked VDSL during the weekend. The service just stopped at about 8:30, then on Tuesday there was the issue with Auckland subscribers, which I assumed was our problem.

I was surprised when another modem was delivered on Tuesday, which was the same as the NF4V we already had. Not impressed to find grot all around the power button though.

Anyway, still no service on Wednesday morning. I was away for the day, and when I arrived home on Thursday morning, still nothing.

So I tried the "new" modem, which connected OK, but only to a few websites like Google and Facebook, and also Geekzone! Spent the best part of an hour on the phone to the call centre in the afternoon - it appears that the modem is not connecting to Orcon for some reason. No resolution but it has been escalated.

So here we are on Friday morning, hoping that this can get sorted by the weekend...

Fixed at last.  Phoned the call centre just now and finally spoke to someone who was able to help!  The "new" modem wasn't registered, so reset the old one and everything started working again.

I'm still unsure what caused the original problem, but this has been a poor support experience

Only having access to Google, Facebook and Geekzone means you were probally able to access IPv6 websites. But not IPv4 websites.
