Just to let you know that we're removing 2degreesWorld on the 30th June. We've given you 500MB free NZ data just to say thanks for being with us (valid 90 days)

Disappointing, as this was the main reason I'm with 2degrees. I get double my $19 combo data thanks to my handful of friends on there.

Once my big chunk of carryover data runs out, i'll be free to port to whoever has the best deal now. I imagine it'll be the same for my friends on there too.

From a quick look:

  • Skinny has  the same thing as 2degrees $19 combo but for $16 (still carryover)
  • Vodafone has the same thing as 2degrees $19 combo but with free weekend calling and "fantastic fridays" (still carryover)
  • Spark's $19 combo lacks carryover but the data allocations are the same, and has free spotify + wifi options.
  • Students (or anyone under 25) can get VodafoneX which will give 1gb for $19 ($16 + $3 non carryover)
  • Students also get an extra 500mb of data with Spark, now works on the $19 music combo (1gb, free spotify, non carryover)
  • Vodafone and Spark both have a larger 4G footprint (inc 700mhz long range)
Sadly there's increasingly fewer reasons to stick with 2degrees. I must admit their customer service has been better than prior experiences with the other two however. Final bonus topup end of the month!

At the moment on Skinny, until August, the 1GB 30 day data pack is $10.
So I'm currently on the $16 Big Value combo and buying 1GB packs as required.
$16 gets me 500mb data, unlimited skinny minutes, 100 NZ and AU rollover mins and unlimited NZ and AUS texts.

Cheers,
Joseph

At least you got 500MB. My message did allude to something else replacing it though.

"Just to let you know that we're removing 2degrees World on the 30th June. It'll be replaced with '2degrees Perks'. Check out our website in July for more info"

I used it for the try my luck. Don't know what the weekly prize was but had a few entries for them.
Does anyone here know what the prize for the weekly prize draw was?

They should have sent that message to everyone from the start - they nearly lost two customers today that i know personally.

Curious to see what this will be.
