Hi,

My wife (on 2Degrees, ported 021 number) has been trying to text a friend on Spark (also an 021 ported number) this week, but the texts aren't arriving.

Last night, we checked again, and the spark phone could receive my texts (Vodafone, 021), but not my wife's (2Degrees).

Is there any known issues with SMS between 2Degrees and Spark at the moment?

Can provide phone numbers and date/time of last nights text tests if it helps (but won't in an open forum!)

Ta.

Sometimes taking hours for SMS messages from three different 2Degrees mobiles to reach a Spark mobile here also. Been happening for maybe a couple of weeks. Thought nothing of it until the last couple of days where it's now happening regularly. Was planning to contact 2Degrees next week.

I see on 2Degree's Facebook page, there are a few messages implying there is a known issue at the Spark end causing issues with text's coming from 2Degrees.  Sadly, there is no ETA for resolution.

I'm having the same issues, thought it was my phone, so went into to 2degrees and they gave me a new sim with the same number. When txts do come through to a spark number they're coming from +027******* instead of +6427******* (i'm on a 027 number with 2degrees).

Really annoying, hope the problem gets sorted soon

If you send me a couple of examples, then that (+027) is something I can probably work around at my end.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

Spark stating it has verified the fault rests on the 2 Deg network.. (SMS delay issue) Customers should contact 2 Deg.

Also just notice the +0274 error.

Text a friend down in wanganui who has an 027 number on 2degrees, she text back and it did not match the number in the phone and shows as +027xxxxxxx

It now seems to have been fixed, at least in my case. Two texts from the driveway alarm came through within seconds.

I texted my mum on Wednesday night from Spark (027) to her 2d (022) number, then rang her on Saturday to see if she got the message.  She said she'd got my message and replied straight away, however by Saturday night I hadn't received it.
I put it down to her lack of skills, but it might be related to this issue.

intermittently broken for me too

occasionally text from friends 021 on 2D is marking it thru to my 021 on Spark

ocasionally their texts are being returned to them unsent/bouncing etc

when they make it thru sometimes its fast, sometimes its taking 7 minutes, sometimes longer

also on their phone some of our text conversation is appearing as a brand new thread instead (not sure if that is network or mobile OS, but my friend never had that problem before on their mobile)

bit of a reminder to people that messaging is not reliable or guaranteed

I think this is a wider issue.  Message from my Vodafone mobile to Spark mobile coming through as+02 as well.
