I received a couple of the discounted fritzfon's from Snap yesterday. All set up as DECT wireless handsets both working fine.

I have 2 issues now both rather annoying.

1. Every couple of hours the fritzfon will beep and it will show 9 missed calls from my own number. I have removed and re setup the fon but no joy. I have rebooted router still get the same issue. I have cleared the call log in the fritzbox, when the next 9 missed calls came up I checked the calls log in the fritzbox and there was nothing there.

Any help on this would be great!

2. The voicemail icon is constantly showing on the fon. I have no messages. When I lift the receiver I get the traditional POTS messaging waiting tone before full dial tone but I have no messages. I have again tried to re pair the phone with the fritzbox and also reboot phone and fritz numerous times. I have also left myself a message, listened to it and deleted it in an effort to clear the mystery voicemail but no joy. The only thing that gets rid of it is turning voicemail completely off.

Any help on this would be great to!

It's a VOiP phone number and fon is set up wirelessly using DECT.

On #2 log into the snap web interface: https://myaccount.snap.net.nz/login
click on Snap plus then go to settings, and make sure all messages are cleared from there.

Thanks for that. Logged in all good however when I click on phone settings it's asking for a phone administrator password. It asks for number which I presume is my VoIP number then an admin password. Which one is this ? Snap account password? Fritzfon password?

I've never set this up or seen this web portal before.

Cancel that. Logged in all good. This could have actually solved both my issues. I've cleared everything from the web portal. It was indeed showing 9 missed calls and a message!

All cleared now. I'll check the don later when I get home. Will post back here.

Will try this when home. Had same issue (missed calls from own number) that Snap have been unable to solve for over a year. Also occasionally phone just will not dial out or someone dialing in cannot get thru. Hopes this will fix it. They even remoted in and changed settings themselves with no luck.

I've literally never seen this handset web portal ever in 2 years. Hopefully it's done the trick. I have 2 colleagues who have fritzfons and they have the same issue. And have had for a long time.

Will post back later.

Well fingers crossed that seems to have solved one of my issues. Now that I have cleared out all my calls from the Snap web portal phone settings the phantom missed calls from my own number seem to have gone.

The voicemail icon is still there however. I know it's coming from the fritz now and not coming from the snap plus web portal as I can only make it disappear when I turn off the answering machine toggle on the fritzbox settings.

It seems like you have 2 ways of getting voicemail either with snap or the fritz. If I turn off voicemail on the fritzbox my snap plus voicemail is the greeting you get but if I turn on the answering machine on the fritz then the fritz greeting is the one you get.

The issue now is if I use the fritzbox answering service I have the annoying icon. I f I use the snap voicemail service it's not obvious that I have any messages unless I dial 456 and check.

If you have voicemail waiting at Snap, when you pick up the phone (go off hook) you will have the voicemail tone ahead of the normal dialtone.

I just prefer the fritzbox voicemail which flashes the LED red to show messages. I know then without touching the phone if I have messages.
