I recently moved from my previous adsl provider to MyRepublic. One of the things they advertise is the ability to transfer the current phone over. My phone number was moved 8 business days ago, and I still do not have a working phone line. Several calls and online "support" messages later it's still no working. I have been told it is an issue between the ONT used by Chorus and some MyRepublic setup and their "engineers are looking to resolve it asap"
That's nice... but in the meantime they are still advertising phone as a service. I suggest to anyone thinking of moving to MR, who may want to use a phone, to call them first to see if it's resolved.
Had I known this was going to happen, I would not have moved to MyRepublic and would have used an alternative provider instead.
