I think 2Degrees need to give their sales guys some Jolt cola to pep them up a bit.

Call comes through to me from reception - answer it, and pretty much get with no emotion and a very heavy accent :

2D : Are you the person who looks after the mobile phones?
Me: Yes
2D : Who are you with currently ?
Me: Vodafone....
2D: Oh. When does your contract expire ?
Me: Is this a sales call ?
2D: Umm... yes. Im calling from 2Degrees, we can offer......
Me: Sorry not interested.

Would have been nice if he introduced himself at the start and had a bit of life to his voice :)

We just tell them not interested until their roaming data rates are anywhere close to what Vodafone/Sparks are.

Not a great experience, sorry about that!

Did you enter your details as part of the Broadband expression of interest?  Did they call you on your mobile that you PM'd me with?

Can you pm us if they called you on another so we can look into that.

Cheers

You could always sell Powerthirst right back at them?

Just found it amusing that I had to actually say "is this a sales call" before he got to the point :)

Was the main office number they called - will PM you the #. Never filled out anything in the 18 months Ive been here in regards to 2Degrees.

It looks to be a 2degrees 'on-seller', not a 2degrees staff member. I've been in touch with our outbound Sales team who say they have no outbound call campaigns at present and we would certainly introduce ourselves as 2degrees.

If you can PM the number that called you we can follow up with our Dealer channel managers.

Cheers

They've been really over the top lately, with multiple phone calls (3 so far in the past 2 weeks) despite being told not interested. I thought the first one was a scam, with how pushy, grouchy, and hard to deal with the guy was. The other two introduced themselves well and were polite to deal with, though. They all seem to ring from 022 mobile numbers, so I've just stopped answering them for a while.
