I use the Snap Usage Monitor App on chrome.

Early this morning my cap reset, but the app does not show this, it seems to have frozen.

I disabled then re-enabled the app, no difference.

Most likely due to Snap switching over to 2degrees Broadband this morning.
Website has changed: https://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/broadband and because snap.net.nz is redirecting I would assume that API is not longer available.

Just noticed this myself. At a glance, looks like I should be able to change the URLs to point to the new 2degreesbroadband.co.nz domain more or less, and replace the Snap text and logo with 2degrees'. Hopefully the account info page HTML is more or less the same. Will work on this today!

Renamed to 2degrees Broadband Usage Monitor. Updated to v0.7.0.

If Chrome hasn't automatically updated the extension for you, you can force the update:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions/
  2. Select "Developer Mode".
  3. Click the "Update extensions now" button.

You'll also need to accept the new URL permission changes.

Disabled the network announcements for now; not sure how they're displayed (and there's none at the moment).

Haven't bothered updating the Chromium non-Store CRX, not sure if anyone actually uses that, please say if you do.

I use TUC, sits in my system tray. Find it easier than browser based.

Never heard of TUC, thanks for sharing, but I must admit I prefer the visual aspect of Chris's extension - can see from a glance at any time (as long as a browser is open) without having to hover over or open anything. Lucky to have a couple of options I guess!

That's the benefit of TUC - a small percentage sign sits in the system tray, you can see at a glance how much data you have left. Click on it and you get more details, like when the plan rolls over. No browser needed.

Nice - didn't notice that in the screenshots. Will take a look.

Does it work with the recent Snap > 2 Degrees changes though?

TUC? Probably not, but it's updated pretty quickly usually.

I used to use tuc back in the day - it was simple, unobtrusive and did exactly what it said on the box. Would recommend for those that aren't on unlimited plans (if it supports your provider).
