Hi, I'm off to the GC in a couple of weeks and it's my first time going there while on a 2Degrees connection. I'm planning to get a roaming pack since I'll be using Google Maps to help with navigation, looking up train timetables, etc. I can buy the first pack the day I leave, but how do I top it up via my phone? I've checked the Your 2Degrees app and there are no options for buying roaming packs or tracking roaming data. Do those options show up once I am physically in Australia? Or do I need a computer or tablet access to the actual website to do it? I had a quick look around the 2Degrees website but couldn't find the answer.

You can top up from the app but you have to buy the roaming pack via SMS   .  Have a look on the 2D website for the code..  I've used it in the past but this time I bought an Optus $2 / day  SIM.

Text codes to use are here:

http://roam.2dm.co.nz

You can do it from NZ or when you arrive in Aus. 288 is free to text. If you do it once you are there just make sure you have roaming data turned off so you don't start spending expensive data before you buy the pack.
