I have been with Snap for years now and never had any problems, but ever since they switched to 2degrees I have kept running into issues and then having to spend 20 minutes on hold to get through to support is quite a problem. To top this all off I spoke with a rude CSR who wasn't willing to let me talk and he ended up abruptly ending the call on me, so at this stage I don't have the time to wait another 20 minutes to get through.

So now I'm looking for a new ISP as 2degrees should be avoided like the plague, any suggestions?

you may be better off posting this in the 'NZ broadband' forum, rather than the 2Degrees one.

I am still with "SnapDegrees" for my UFB and find them pretty good. They've had a little bit of instability lately in terms of international traffic then their Google cache going down last night (re-routing to Sydney a little later) however in general I have found them fine. I don't phone them ever but as an ISP they're actually still the better ones.

I have however been looking at other options out there and think if I was ever going to change it'll be either to Spark or BigPipe. I have no reason to do so however as the service from SnapDegrees is generally good. All providers have hiccups every now and then and if you think changing providers is going to alleviate those hiccups you're honestly dreaming.

I wouldn't base a single bad experience a reason to move. If it is a constant thing then maybe but I do think you're perhaps jumping the gun a little bit. Yes, they've had a bit of a shaky start but as they sort out the teething issues I'd say they'll be fine. There is still the same team behind the scenes and apart from the name nothing has changed in the background.

I'd be very comfortable recommending https://www.actrix.co.nz/ if you are looking for good service.
