Am I reading it right - there's only one $19 carryover prepay option with data and that's for 500MB/month?

Anything extra has to be a data pack?

That's what I read too. And it means just as bad as the other telcos at having to micromanage the add-ons.

Rollover is worthless when the amount is so insignificant you always use it up.

I was curious because wife's prepay account always had 1GB or more of rollover. Today I see it's only at 530MB, which means she's using more than before. I thought of perhaps moving to a 1GB prepay plan, but there isn't one.

Also it's really hard to find out how much data was used - the website shows a daily usage list but nothing like "Used this month" total.

Wouldn't say that; I currently have 1200 minutes and 6012MB of data due to rollover.
Clearly I don't use enough :-)

Tip: For users who expect they will run out and need a data pack, buy it proactively before you start using up a lot of the carryover data. Because data packs have shorter expiry dates, they will be used before the carryover data, so the carryover data will build up. Whereas if the pack isn't used up, its data expires.

PM the number and 4 digit PIN and we'll take a look.

Just to confirm, on launch of Combo Rewards on Monday 28 September, existing customers with a history of consecutive $19 Carryover combo will also be entitled to get a Carryover Data Reward but only on the next purchase of their Combo after launch date.

Cheers

I would be happier if you could make it so I could buy more and have it all roll over, so add a 1 or 2 gig options for a bit more each month. Add on packs are a real pain ITA to manage especially across multiple Sims with the hassles of logging in and out to look at them.

If the 2degrees rewards thing doesn't work out, I would recommend the Skinny $26 combo or the Vodafone $29 combo, each have 1gb data

So if we've been on the combo for over 9 months already, we get the full extra 500MB on next rollover?

That's really awesome, you didn't have to do that, but as a loyal 2degrees customer I'm very very happy indeed.  My mother who uses a $19 carryover combo as a fixed-line replacement will also be happy.

There's just not enough data in these prepay carry over packs. Simple as that & it's across the board without you digging deeper into your wallet for data packs.

You get alot of call time which hardly anyone uses. 731 minutes for me. Need to find the balance of these combo packs. Call time=data. With data hungry apps etc nowadays it's just not enough even simply checking emails everyday & a quick look on facebook 500mb does not go far & i'm a light user really. 500mb on combo plans have stayed the same for a long time.
The advanced technology we have today we still pay through the nose for it in NZ.

With the incentives on carry over packs to get an extra 100mb here, 200mb there after serveral topups. Seriously?
