So I signed up for a VDSL connection with Slingshot. I had a good experience with Orcon a few years back and looked like they had merged with Slingshot.

Here is the sequence of my slingshot debacle 

1. A Chorus technician rings me at work telling me he is coming around to do the VDSL. I've had no warning of this at all from Slingshot. The technician tells me I can reschedule with Slingshot
2. I email Slingshot to get find out how. Slingshot email me back telling me to call the connection team on the number below (they fail to list this number)
3. I try ringing slingshot. On hold for 30 mins. I give up and go back through my call register and call the Chorus technician directly and reschedule.
4. Technician comes and wires up VDSL filter box. Tells me it should be up in an hour or so.
5. Two hours later I can't connect. 3 hours later I can't connect. Next day I can't connect. I have rung Slingshot a number of times and still can't talk to anyone. Probably an hour on hold all up.
6. I come here to see if I can find anyone at slingshot to talk to?
