I have UFB from Orcon - never had a problem, has worked well.
I've always had an external answering phone connected but had to replace it recently as it broke.
The new phone gave me problems when picking up calls. The handsets ring, I pickup, I can hear the person on the other side but they can't hear me.
I figured it was a problem with the new cheap device so went and bought an expensive Uniden answering phone. Same problem. Occasionally it works but 9/10 I get the same problem.
I've reset the router, changed cables, etc.
Since this has happened with 2 brand new devices I'm thinking there's other forces at play here.
Anyone experienced such a problem?
Next steps...
1. switch off auto answer on pickup with the handsets.
2. pair the new DECT handsets directly with the Genius base rather than the answering base.
3. call Orcon support
any hints will be gratefully received :-)
