MyRepublic announces nationwide 1Gbps symmetrical UFB for SMEs:

ISP MyRepublic is announcing a New Zealand wide enterprise grade 1Gbps symmetrical UFB service at mass market pricing for small and medium-sized businesses, starting at $499.99 for fibre broadband with unlimited data.

"Businesses were prioritised in the UFB rollout, yet they"re under-represented," says MyRepublic managing director Vaughan Baker. "Big business has had 1Gbps connections for a long time, but from today SMEs can take advantage of those same connection speeds."

Very interesting. I wonder what access input they are using? As far as I'm aware not all (or any??) LFCs offer a 1Gbps/1Gbps input over BS2/a. BS3/a only goes to 100Mbps hence it would need to be a BS4/HSNS Premium or DFAS access.

Chorus has a wholesale 1000/1000 service for $275*. Presumably the other ISPs have something similar.

*It may be cheaper now; the document is 18 months old at this point.

Looks like they have rejigged some of their other business plans as well

$86.95 for 100/50 and static IP seems to be a pretty competitive price, think everyone else is around $130-160

If this is a business offer will it be inclusive of GST?
