Hi,

So I recently changed ISPs to 2Degrees 200/200 fibre plan which has been great apart from extremely slow uploads to colleagues on Vodafone connections. I found that when I speedtest to the Spark or CityLink servers I get near full speed upload and download. But with Vodafone I get near full speed (approx 180mbit) download but with upload it caps out at 2mbit which really is terrible.

I've tried everything from resetting router and optical termination points and tested on multiple devices from PC to Mac (both wired and wireless), Android tablet, iPhone, iPad and getting the same results.

I'm using the router supplied by 2Degress FritzBox 7490 and located in Churton Park, Wellington. I have other work colleagues in the area who are using different ISPs Spark/Orcon which I've tested and aren't experiencing the same issue.

Anyone have an idea with that could be the cause? Is it 2degrees fault or Vodafones?!

I really don't want to have to change ISP again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Regards.

:)

Sounds a lot like the infamous DEI bit issue.

I did a quick search and the symptoms look similar. Is there anything I can do and who do you suggest I talk to to get it looked at?

Hey Chivyboy,

Cheers for making us aware of this. I've passed this on to the guys in the NOC and they've been able to replicate the issue, and have passed it up to engineering to investigate further.

Once I've heard from them, I'll come back here.

Thanks,
