a bit of feed back for 2 d staff browsing this forum.

our ufb became available on the 1st of dec (ultrafastfibre map). on the 4th after checking their site again and still being told that we could only get adsl. how ever other isp's (my republic / spark etc..) state we can get ufb.

(now I understand it may take you a while to update your maps, but in the meantime how many people are just going else ware)

so on the 4th I sent a message through to the 2 d staff (email) here is the reply:

Thank you for your email, and taking time to look at 2degrees as a option for your broadband. Im really sorry about the incorrect information that was provided to you via our website, after doing some manual pre checks, I've found that UFF is available at your property, and has only been available since the 1st of this month!!! With our sign up process we would need you to give us a call on 0800 022 022, this is where if you have any more questions or queries we would definitely be able to help you with these.

all good so far how ever upon ringing 2 d the sales staff they only say adsl is available, how ever the sales rep did try to get me to switch to your adsl thanks but no thanks.

i'm also guessing that you blocked our address on your website checker as it now comes up with
Sorry we are unable to determine if broadband services are available at your address. Did you type your address correctly? Try searching again below or give us a call on 0800 022 022 FREE.

how ever when I type the next doors address it comes up with adsl go figure lol

Hi there Drawno,

Thanks for this, it does look like our UFB Positive indicator for the UltraFast Fibre (UFF) area is a few days out of date. I've passed this through to our dev team to remedy, should be all good to try again in the next day or two. Sorry for the inconvenience!

The team should have been able to arrange a manual sign up for you once it was apparent that the site was out of date, we'll work out why this didn't happen in your case.

Can you please send us a DM with your address so we can make sure its included?

Thanks

Ralph ^JOB

I had exactly the same experience. I was a 2Degrees broadband customer (reluctantly, I was a Snap customer). When fibre became available at my address 2Degrees were showing it as unavailable while Spark were showing it as available. So I'm a Spark fibre customer as of yesterday, signed up entirely online. I'm currently on hold cancelling my 2Degrees account over the phone.

Im also a former 2Degrees Broadband customer also reluctant as i was a SNAP customer also - a very happy SNAP customer. Unfortunately the relationship between myself and 2Degrees got toxic and after lots of frustration, venting and complaining along with very heated yelling from my end i admit which wasn't in good form they terminated my account without notice. So im trying to get connected to Spark myself. How long did your UFB connection take?

I did lay a formal compaint with the TDR who said theres been a few complaints about 2Degrees with them.

My connection took about 5-6 weeks in Tauranga, but it was a very simple install. My parents and my in-laws have both been waiting > 2 months because they have more difficult installs.

Therein lies my problem

My VDSL is brilliant on Snap 70Mb down/30Mb up

I am terrified of shifting because of their "up to 30Mb download" speeds. If anything went wrong I am sure that will be their fall back position.
