Orcon will be offering broadband with speeds of up to 24 mbps d/l and 3mbps up/l.

I think thats great, for everyone that uses the internet for anything more than email.

My Go Large Plan is painfully slow for streaming (poor attenuation rate doesnt help either), but great knowing I have no download limit.

Can someone please explain why they can offer such great BB speeds when companies such as Telecom still give max :S speeds of 10 mbps.

And how? Is it new technology? What are Orcon doing that other ISPs are not, cannot or will not?

Regards, RB85!

I think that ISPs like Orcon should calm down a little, like the quarrel about what 3rd party got into Telecom exchanges first...

Orcon will be offering ADSL2 speeds, which is new technology here in NZ

Telcome / Xtra will also be offering ADSL2 speeds soon as well (currently Telecom is installing ADSL2 technology in all of NZ exchanges)

So... SIP POTS? Interesting, guess I'll find out more at the end of this month :)
