So it looks like 6.50 is out in the German Firmware. Now the countdown is on until the english release. Who wants to place their bets? 1 month like fritzbox support suggests? 6 months plus like the previous version took?

Google Translated Changelog, some big changes:

The UI has been completely overhauled:

Certainly will be interesting. Ill be holding off pushing my 7390 up to 6.50 until its been put through the ringer by those who are quick off the mark to upgrade.

Although my 7390 only provides wireless access at this point, so i cant comment on any long-term DSL driver changes.

Big feature that jumps out at me is "PPPoE passthrough", Sounds like it may end up supporting bridging.

5.51 it was possible via hackery... http://gjppp.home.xs4all.nl/vdsl-pppoe/

H
owever, it looks to be natively supported now.

That post would imply it was also possible in 5.05 however.
