Rappelle: Shall we speculate on Google and Apple being sold this year too...?
-_-
michaelmurfy: Considering 2dm recently bought Snap and converted it to belong in their evil empire I wouldn't consider 2dm or its investors would be looking at selling anytime soon.
GEOMAX: Maybe time for Vodafone to grow into the number one service provider ?
Make a Vodafone Skinny and the rest into their Broadband mix.
Maybe Chorus left with the dregs in the split from Telecom's need something to replace the dying copper network.
Countless options all revolve around being profitable in the long term.

MikeB4: A gut feeling, intuition that's all, time maybe for the venture capital shareholders to move on. Lets see what 2016 brings. Doesn't mean they are on the block, sometimes its just time for a change.I guess at some stage someone wants to make some real money off the business. But I can't see them really fattening up the business getting it ready to float or sell. They did buy an ISP last year, but they don't seem to be in real growth mode. Their prepay pricing is also being left behind a bit. But we do need 2degree otherwise we have a duopoly which has proven not to be good for consumers pricing. A pity the government allowed a duopoly to occur in the super markets, and now Campbell Live is gone, no media is doing price comparisons as to whether we are paying too much in NZ.

I'd also say that given the low interest rates and lackluster economic results in the US and UK I'm not surprised that businesses are looking for countries that are at least providing modest returns vs. next to nothing. That being said, who would they sell it to? is it profitable? would they do a partial float? maybe sell their steak to Optus in Australia to have a presence in Australia and New Zealand?
