Fibre Services in Christchurch

Christchurch fibre connections may be experiencing a loss of service, this is currently being investigated and we do not have an ETA at this stage.

Grrr - 4-5 outages this last 6 months - although to be fair 3 caused by workmen in the box outside out house crimping a fibre cable. Four kids at home, holidays, what will we do without Youtube? <wink> aarrgghh!!!!!

Issue for me too...
Is this just for snap or is everyone on fibre affected in Christchurch?

Appears to be just 2D, looks like an authentication error? Internet was out when I got up at 0530, did the usual restart everything, logs show PPPoE errors since around 0300. Nothing on Status Page until after 0800. Good day to be at work I guess.

7 hours is a long time. Almost due for some compensation.

Doing some back of hand calculations so far I reckon we've paid about $1.12 over the last 7 hours for Interweb's we can't use. I'll take it in 2 x 50c mixtures, keep the change.

If it's authentication then you've got to wonder where their DR is. Surely they have a backup RADIUS server? No details and no ETA for an outrage this length is a bit rubbish.

Agreed. The service has been horrid since 2degrees bought them.

As above, seems to be back up as of about 19 mins ago (not home however, is according to Fritzbox info emails). Hopefully there's a postmortem available at some stage from Ralph@2D
