This afternoon I had a call from Sharon @ ICMS (apparently a debt-collecting agency) about an unpaid bill from Slingshot for $46.

Since I haven't used Slingshot for about 20 years, I found this rather odd.  I told Sharon this, and she is "looking into it", and will send me chapter and verse.

I find myself wanting simply to pay the $46 so that it goes away; but then, I begin to wonder whether this is some sort of SlingScam--or maybe some kind of database glitch.

Anyone else out there been contacted about similar things?  Like to hear your comments.

Hiya,

That sounds very odd indeed. Could you send me through a message with some info so I can find your old account and see if there has been any activity recently please? The address where the services were connected or your line number with us would be really helpful.

I wouldn't suggest paying anything till we can get this cleared up for you.

Cheers
