Hi Everyone!

But in all seriousness check this out -

I'd like to say thanks to my mother and father, my ISP 2degrees and my electrician. All round great hustle.

I am really looking forward to my parents getting VDSL since the cabinet they're connected to is around 50m away. They'll then have sub 100Mbit internet in literally the middle of rural nowhere.

Thanks John Key.

ild love to see the DSL statistics page there, Looks like your very close to the maximum sync but its hard to tell Due to the rounding.

You certainly hit the jackpot having a broadcom linecard, if you were unlucky you would be looking at a max of 70/30 right now!

Damn those speeds would be nice on VDSL.  We just got hooked up a couple of weeks ago with 2degrees VDSL, we are about 50 - 70m from the cabinet.

@CaseyDan "Master Filter" is what you're needing :) if you're in Auckland @coffeebaron is your man.

Based off your attenuation i would say you have A bad internal line issue, Or your cable does not go direct at all like you think it does. ild estimate your actual distance based on VERY rough calculations to be close on ten times your values.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Possibly the bad wiring issue.  Cabinet is about 20m from our driveway, however it's a shared driveway and we are a back house on one of the properties (approx 50m from the street).

ild lean towards it being a MDF layout issue to be honest..

but im certainly one to push the idea of having your wireless perfect too, so tidy that up then revisit it.
