Weird issue with my S7 and home WiFi - started last week.

Can't download or update apps through the Play store and forever loading on Youtube. Only these two issues - web browsing, apps, emails, searching for apps / videos still work, just can't download or watch anything.

I've looked up this issue already and tried all the troubleshooting steps none of which worked.

Eventually concluded that it's an issue with my wifi settings as no such issues when connected to work wifi, cafe hotspots, 3G/4G data.

What's odd is that all my other devices (inc another S7) don't have the same issue.

I changed my wifi credentials around the time this issue started for security precautions but never had issues before. Thinking I may have switched a setting on/off by accident, I factory reset my fritz but that didn't seem to help.

So far I've tried the following with no luck:

Reset my phone - set up as new phone (no restores from anything)

Changed dns on my phone (as suggested for such play store issues)

Cleared my caches for Google framework, google play store, download manager and also through recovery

Made sure my phone firmware and Playstore version is up to date - also tried uninstalling all updates

I borrowed a friend's Australian bought fritz (also 7490). Manually set up ISP settings as it didn't automatically get pushed through and every thing works perfectly. I'm happily downloading away.

Saved config > Restored onto my fritz  = Issues are back

Restored a config from my fb to my friends fritz = Issues now present using his fritz (so again assumed this must be settings related)

Factory reset my fritz again > Created new preset and manually input ISP settings = Issues still present

I'm really at a lost at what the issue could be as it is only affecting one device in the whole household.

A factory reset should have fixed any settings issue and not sure how the exact same config would work on one box and not the other?

Any input would be appreciated.

FritzBoxes can dump your WiFi traffic it you know enough about networking to be able to interpret that.  To do that, load the hidden support page:

http://fritz.box/support.lua

Make sure you replace fritz.box with whatever your local box is accessed with.  On that page there is a link for a "Packet traces" page.  Once you have a packet trace file, you can use Wireshark (wireshark.org) to display and analyze the packet trace and maybe see what is going wrong.
