Hi Guys,

Anyone know who I would speak to about getting a new modem from Orcon. I have had the current one for 6 years or more and the phone has failed with it, currently using a protable phone purchased from warehouse.  I called yesterday and got passed around 3 people and eventually the guy was running some tests which I knew would be fine. Anyway he said he could only give me a new one if it failed. I changed house recently and should have asked for one then.

The tech didn't understand me and felt like he was reading from a script.

Also how accurate are the VDSL tests the new connection team does and can they be influenced by the wiring in the house?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Your old router still belongs to Orcon - if it is faulty, they should replace it.

A failure after 6 years would be par for the course.

Hi there,

The modems that we supply currently do not have an accompanying handset so you'd need to use a third party handset anyway. If the service isn't broken it's unlikely the team would replace the device.

PM me with your account details and I'll see what we can do.

Cheers,

Cam
