Just signed up to the email notifications. Will see how it goes.

Might have a slight problem getting email status messages advising that my internet is down???

I am in Christchurch, so not sure about signing up for texts as I don't want to get woken up at 3am to find that there is an issue in Auckland. Phone is always on as I an on call 24/7.

If your phone is always on then I'm sure mobile data will collect your e-mail just fine in case of an internet outage.

That's an awfully convenient time to erase your outage log.

I'm not sure it's fair to criticise them for not loading old outages (how far back would you expect them to go?), sure it was a long and bad one, but they aren't exactly hiding the truth, in fact I think it's fair to put a positive spin on it...  "Hey look, they know they screwed up their messaging, they've now setup a good status page that will keep people up to date, what a positive step".

Still wouldn't convince me to recommend MR to anyone, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a change in the right direction.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

How about as far back as including the incidents that triggered the change in network status reporting to your customers?

It is a positive thing and i've raised multiple times with customer services many time since joining in April.

Old outages? We're talking 9 - 7 days ago.

How about as far back as the dates shown on the page reporting 'no outages'

To list a bunch of dates, with a little note asking you to ignore half of then is a bit ridiculous (particularly when they are saying to start paying attention from the first business day following a major outage)...... nothing but spin doctoring.

That said, IF from now on it actually reflects reality, then yes I agree it's a step in the right direction, even if that first step is a bit of a stumble.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your feedback on the new network status page we launched.

Our team decided to set up a dedicated network status page with easier access for customers. This was Due to the recent outage that effected customers nationwide.

We're are wanting to have full communication with our customers in the event of any network issues and we think our new page gives customers this option.

Regards,

The Team @ MyRepublic NZ.
