Not sure if this is in the correct forum so I apologise in advance. Also my knowledge is very basic on this stuff...so again apologies!

Our internet disconnects intermintently throughout the day (no particular time). Have gone through all the trouble shooting on Flips website and a bit of googling;

- Plugging modem straight into phone jack.

- disconnecting all other devices using other phone jacks in the house.

- Changed Modems

- Connect laptop to ethernet to rule out wireless issues.

- Reset Modem

This list is longer but I am having a "mind blank".

After all of this we still have issues.

What does seem to help is refreshing the IP. I found a .bat file and modified it to so it goes through the ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew. Then I have it pinging google to see if the internet is working. This seems to temporarily fix the issue which confuses me more as it doesnt seem to point to a line issue....

My communication with Flip has lead to them wanting to log a job with Chorus to check the exchange. If its an exchange issue would it be isolated to our home or would our neighbours be affected also?

However, before this happens I want to be sure I have tried everything (which is why I am here) and not throw my money away. If anyone can give me suggestions or point me in the right direction, that would be much appreciated.

----this is my 3rd attempt trying to post...internet keeps cutting out----

Hi there,

By the sounds of it you've done all the initial tier 1 testing we'd complete with you over the phone, so the next step from our end would be to lodge a fault. I'd recommend contacting the team on 0800 60 8324 as soon as possible to organise this as you may need to repeat the troubleshooting if you wait too long.

Sorry for any trouble, I hope we can get this sorted for you swiftly!
