I requested a fibre install several weeks ago, as did two friends. My friends have both received new modems from Orcon, within days of requesting connection. To date, I have not received a modem, despite two calls following things up.

Chorus are at my house today connecting from the gate and are due back within a week or so for the internal install.

I'm not that enthused at spending another 30-40 minutes waiting to get through to the call centre to chase things up.

Can those who have fibre connected through Orcon let me know when they received their modem? I'm up to nearly a month..

Cheers

Darryn

Hi Darren, normally your modem would be dispatched when a connection date is set for your order. PM me with your account details and I'll make sure everything is on track.

Cheers,

Cam

If you want to borrow one let me know. I have some spare HG659's kicking around. The fibres good. We had it installed at three houses last week.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Jeez you're quicker than a 767 FMC!

Cheers mate - will see what Cam finds out. I'm sure it'll all work out OK - just seems odd RD and another friend have modems within days of first request. If need be I will take you up on that!

Will give you a yell later. A couple of things to be aware of...

The FMC is OK. It's the flight director that is slow!

Ouch! They don't call it the steamliner for nothing.
