Just changed from Slingshot UFB to 2Degrees UFB. The 2degree fritzbox solved a networking problem with my NAS box. Which I knew it would as I have had issues with previous supplied Slingshot equipment that caused me no end of troubles. Both problems were solved by me buying better quality equipment. Was with slingshot for 7 years, gave them the opportunity to keep me as a customer, they obviously didn't need me so I'm now a 2 degrees customer.

Can I ask why your changed to 2degrees?

I have UFB 100/20 & I nearly changed to Slingshot from 2degrees I'm currently on only for cheaper deal for what I already have with phone recently. Was the UFB speed a problem?

I changed more out of frustration of dealing with issues related to Slingshots equipment. I solved them all in the end by buying better quality equipment. I spent over a week on the phone when I was having issues with there VDSL modem plus getting Italk to work. Then had more issues with there Tripleplay 150 on UFB. There was no problem with the internet connection itself. I was prepared to pay towards getting there Netcomm UFB modem which I understand is far better than the Tripleplay.  I gave them to the billing date for the end of my contract to come up with a solution. I received no reply. I decided I wasn't going to chase them any longer and signed up for the 2degree two year deal as I knew the Fritzbox they supply is a good modem/router.

I'm using the Fritzbox 7390 with 2degrees & I was going to use it on slingshots network but they didn't like that even though I knew it would work ok. I heard about issues with their netcom modems they were providing & wasn't keen on that. When talking to slingshot they tried talking me out of not using the fritzbox because it it doesn't have voip. I soon corrected them saying I am talking to you on it now. It does have voip. "oh" was the reply.

I think the fritzbox is a great all round voip modem. So many options in the settings to how you want it to work for you.

With UFB on slingshot did you have any down time? Network problems?

That was the only issue I didn't have, I had no complaints about the connection speed or the reliability of it. Just  couple of brief outages in 7 years.
