I'm using a NF4V on Slingshot UFB, I was originally supplied with the horrible TP150 and upgraded at my own expense and had assistance from SS in setting up the NF4V.

One of the problems I had with the TP150 was VOIP randomly failing, in that both inbound and outbound calls are met with the "engaged" tone.  I thought this had been fixed on changing router, but over the last few weeks it seems to have come back.  All will work fine for a couple of days, then on trying to make a phone call, engaged tone.  Resetting the router or going into VOIP settings and disabling then re-enabling the SIP account clears the problem, but it's quite annoying having to do this.

Anyone else seen this? Any tips on what it might be caused by?  I haven't contacted SS about it recently because I hate going through the scripts, factory resetting the router, losing all my static IPs etc etc.

I would try a dedicated ata like the cisco spa instead of a built in one.

Do Slingshot still not autoprovision hardware? Swapping to an ATA won't fix the issue because it'll be something in your settings, not the hardware itself.

There are about 25 or so settings that need to be set in a NF4V for optimal VoIP use.

Yes, I was reluctant to change hardware having had the same fault on two different devices.
I don't think they can auto provision, I had to give them remote access to adjust the settings last time

Yes, happened to me. I had to get Telecommunications disputes resolution to sort this one out. Unfortunately, I don't know what they did to fix it. But I had the exact same problem as you. I would call TDR and ask them to give you a hand.  Good Luck.

Glad you got the NF4V modem. Took me a while to get them to change from the triple150 modems to the NF4V on their plans. Tahnks to TDR for the help.

Thanks, but it's not quite enough of a problem for me (yet!) to open a TDR case about - I was hoping for a technical solution without doing that
