Is anyone else having IPv6 connectivity trouble at the moment?

Had a power outage last night, and since coming back online my router hasn't been able to pick up a valid v6 config.

I've swapped it out for another router (which worked fine previously). It obtains a prefix, however it can't seem to route v6 traffic beyond 2406:e000:2801:9::1.

Checked their network status page. No info there.

Works for me (e.g. to www.google.com). I have a static IPv6 allocation.

Seems to have come back up after rebooting the router a few times (along with a fair bit of head scratching). Identical settings to what it had previously when it was working. Suppose I'll blame it on the fairies and hope the issue doesn't return. undecided

Don't have a static v6 allocation here.

Agh, this is totally me! For the last week connecting to my australian VPS has taken 2 minutes, not the 500ms it normally takes. Turns out it was trying to connect via IPv6 for two minutes before it would time out. Same thing on different computers and different OS' on the same fritzbox 7490. Despite having a "valid" IPv6 IP address! Routes look fine, fritzbox settings are basically all stock.

I've got a support case in, hopefully T2 will get back to me.

Hey Lorenceo,

No known issues with IPv6 at our end I'm afraid, sounds as though your modem was struggling to pick up an IPv6 allocation upon reauthentication.

If you have any IPv6 tracerts from when you were experiencing the issue, can you please message these through and we can take a look for you.

Thanks

It was, yeah. It began working again, seemingly on its own though. Same settings on router which were working, then stopped, and started again.

Traceroutes weren't very exciting. The only hop to reply was 2406:e000:2801:9::1, the first one on your network. Everything beyond it timed out.

Emailed support about it but no reply yet.

Hmm, makes me wonder. About two weeks ago I lost my IPv6 address on my Fritz!box. The support engineer strongly recommended that I change my config to use the "Native IPv4 connection" as explained here

Did 2Degrees Broadband fiddle with their IPv6 config?
