HI

I shouldn't need to give them the whole box to get a loan phone for the note 7 do I since its a voluntary recall?

I mean I have the phone but I gave the accessories away and thru away the box.

I was told that I need to put the phone in the box before they can give me a loan phone?

What difference do think comes from it being 'voluntary' or otherwise?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

It's reasonable that the packaging might have been disposed of and shouldn't matter if you have proof of purchase. I can see both sides on the accessories though.

I dont think it should matter if you dont have the box. Which store did you go to? All they need is to look at the receipt (if you have it). And if you dont have the receipt then they should still be able to pull up your records with your name and phone number.

St lukes apparently. It was the store that would give me a note 7 straight away on the same day while cancelling my 24mnth contract with my S7.

I hate how each stores tend to give different answers?

A bit of consistency would be nice

Hi there, sorry if there's been any discrepancy between what you've been hearing from store to store. Each store received the same briefing and is the case across ALL 2degrees stores if they bought it at a 2degrees store or through our online shop.

This is a voluntary recall and customers have the choice to either -

1. Wait for the re-released Note7. In which case return the Note7 to any 2degrees store or the store they purchased it from and will be given a Samsung J5 (which they can keep) while they wait till the Note7 is released. (See notes below if you bought it from our multi-brand dealers).

2. Get a full refund  - Please return the accessories and original box if possible.

3. Swap it out for a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge and get a refund of the difference in price. You can keep the accessories from the Note7.

For customers that bought through one of our multi-brand partners -

Noel Leeming & PB Tech: They will follow same process and options as 2degrees stores.

Warehouse Stationery: There is no impact as they have not ranged or sold the Note 7 in any stores to date. They have transacted minimal quantities via their online store and escalations will be handled as per their online procedure.

Harvey Norman: Process and options are the same as 2degrees stores with the only exception being the A3/A5 loan option. HN will not be giving out A3/A5 as temporary loan option and will only offer the J5 as the permanent loan option.

Please PM us your number, the store and person who served you if there's been any store giving any info different from above.

Cheers

^POB

Thanks

I'll return to the store first and I'll go from there

You could atleast take your customer's mobile number and IMEI and check with Samsung when he is due a call

That much for choosing to buy from 2 Degrees

Just came across this news article on Stuff

http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/85189936/spark-halting-samsung-galaxy-note-7-replacements

"Vodafone and Spark are offering refunds to customers who have either original or replacement Note 7s. Shortly after 11am, 2degrees was still advising its customers to return originals for a refund and to hang on to replacement devices for the time being."

Any specific reason why 2Degrees isnt taking their customers' interests 1st

2degrees asks consumers with either a Galaxy Note 7 or replacement Galaxy Note 7 to power it down then take the device to the store they purchased it from.

They’ll be able to replace it with a Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7 or have a refund.

Thanks for the prompt feedback

I had an online chat with customer representative and they had absolutely no idea

Could you please ensure this information is relayed to all the stores so that when we take it back to the store we are not sent back saying that they don't know about this yet

Swaps for a s7e or s7, I hope the remaining balance between the devices will also be credit/refunded.
I also hope you're charging Samsung for time wasted dealing with their stuff up
