VDSL on ADSL speed?

We just moved into an apartment and signed up for 2d UFB, however, we opt to 'downgrade' to VDSL instead as UFB installation requires approval from owner and property manager.

Connection setup completed today but it doesn't seem to be VDSL? I'm having like 10Mbit down and 1 up only

You have a downstream attenuation of 25dB which is too high for good VDSL performance.
You do indeed have typical ADSL speeds.
I don't understand why anybody would want VDSL if they can have fibre - even if that requires negotiation with the landlord and extra paperwork.

yep attenuation is way to high to get a good VDSL speed, you would probably get more more with ADSL

i would speak to 2degress.

suspect what has happened here is VDSL installation was denied, so an adsl installation was done.

Hey Aerir,

Can you please message us your address and broadband customer number? If your address is borderline for VDSL service, the request may have had to be downgraded to get services functional. There could also be a fault or issue with your internal wiring if you are within adequate VDSL range. Another thing worth checking is to make sure you don't have an ADSL filter connected, as that will filter out the useful VDSL frequencies.

As we won't be staying in this place for too long (hopefully), which is why we prefer not to get all these paperworks done for fiber.
