Hey guys,
We should have some news out in the wild shortly, keep an eye out :)
Thanks,

Hey Obraik,
That's the one. Our gigabit product is directly replacing the 200/200Mbps speed boost att he same price point. Existing 200/200Mbps customers will be upgraded automatically over the coming weeks.

Hi Ralph,
will 2degrees offer intermediate speed plans, somewhere between the standard 100/20 and the max 1000/500? For example, what about your 200/200 plan, will that continue to be offered, but at a different price point?
Thanks
Cheers
Richard
Hey Hawk2050,
Our current default UFB offering is 100/20, and we'll still have 200/20 available as well (upgrading from 100/20 to 200/20 is $24.95, up to 1Gbps/500Mbps is $44.95). At this stage we won;t be continuing with 200/200, there isn't enough difference in cost to justify keeping it, and most people on 200/200 would want to be on the fastest available anyway ;)

I called to upgrade my plan to the new 1gb service, was told it will change at the start of my next billing cycle. Do I really have to wait until NOvember 1 for it to switch? Am sure used to be able to switch mid month and just pay the difference.
Thanks for your quick response Ralph. That's a shame as I'd fall into the camp of wanting faster upload speed than the standard 20Mbps but not willing to spring for an extra $44.95 for the full blown 1000/500. A 200/200 plan would have been just the ticket!
Cheers
Richard

They're the same price.
Hi Kopkiwi, 200/200 isn't an option anymore with 2degrees, from what Ralph said above. If they had retained that option then I'd expect the 'speedbooster' premium would have been pushed down by the Gigabit plan to something less than $44.95 but more than $24.95, however it's a moot point as it won't be an option, at least not with 2degrees.

you misunderstand him - they are the same price from Chorus. So 2degrees don't really have the option of pushing the price down; unless Chorus change the cost structure I wouldn't expect any provider to continue with 200/200 residential (or anyone to buy it for that matter).
Ah, OK, I understand now. Thanks for the clarification.

Which they won't do as I believe it's regulated.
