Hi, I quite like this phone, it's cheap and will do the job until I get a replacement. But before I purchase I'd like to know if the network bands are supported by 2 Degrees. Can someone please let me know if it covers 4G network and other networks?

Yes it be okay across most bands no band 28 4G for 700Mhz but band 3 1800Mhz is good

My personal view I would not buy a 4G hanset that does not support band 28 LTE

I wouldnt since that means that you would be missing out on what will be the least congested 4G band for quite some time, and if you are having to fall back to 3G along with all the other people with old or forein phones using data you will be in for a conjested experiance.

May as well get the right bands and get the full use out of the network vs only seeing good speeds and latency when you are in an area that is on a compatible frequancy allocation.

Since band 28 is called the asia-pacific one, Its suprising that all the china phones do not support it.

Cheers that's a better explanation. So any phone I buy should support band 3 and band 28. so if they have both bands how does it choose which band to use? also having no 4g coverage which bands I should look for for 3G?

Yes you will have 2G and 3G coverage just not 4G

Just for an indication of the importance of band 28, take a look at Spark's coverage map, comparing "4G" with "4G 700". I don't have a similar map for 2degrees, but the proportions are probably similar.
