First of all, my connection is crap, I know that. Will be getting a chorus ticket next week when I have cleared physical access to the cupboard my router is in.

But anyway, I got the new xbox S when that UK amazon deal happened. It is empty.

I have added heaps of downloads to it, which will take days at 10 megabits.

But what I am seeing happen is that when the xbox is downloading the connection becomes barely usable. spotify on the chromecast is stopping about half the time, speedtests are 1 megabit or so down (up is 4-5 which is what I am getting upstream sync)

Stop the xbox downloads, and everything is perfectly fine.

The other thing is while this is happening, I can watch youtube on the TV or PC fineat 1080, but facebook will struggle to play anything, even images are taking 10-15 seconds to show.

So has someone misconfigured something at 2degrees to make xbox downloads happen at a higher priority than browsing or something?

Looks like its about 3/4 full on day 3 so one more day of this unbareable internet.
