Anyone know who to contact to stop spam messages from being sent to my phone.

i've received multiple texts over the last hour from Wallet wizard from numbers 3244, 2770, 3333 and 4445. Replying stop does not stop them (and costs me money).

They did this to my number a few months ago and ringing them stopped it, however, this time it is outside of their business hours and there is no answer.

It seems they are testing something and have used a real, live number unrelated to them. They are not the first (Vodafone did this to me as well).

Probably they are testing to see how many users reply to their "spam" in order to spam them more in the future...

Sounds like your number has been setup as default for their system.

Do you have an easy number like 0212345678 ?

It's spam to me. Last time, and I'm sure this time, it was due to testers using a live system using my number for their tests. I'm getting multiple messages of different templates addressed to names such as wwp, rrk, kuc, xds, opl, ero etc.

Yes, my number is easy to enter into the number fields (Including the prefix there are only 3 distinct numbers, 6 consecutive numbers are the same) so it's an easy number for people just to enter thinking that it's not a real number. Testers - if you're testing numbers against a system that can connect to the world, use your own numbers, not some random string that you don't think would be a real number.

Yes.

Haven't looked at their actual site (I'm not their target market), but that wouldn't surprise me.

Have you tried reporting it to your mobile provider. They might be able to block them - potentially from their whole network as well as just you (given their spammy nature).

You can also report them to the DIA. They will follow up. I've worked with them in the past.

Thanks. Will just follow up with Wallet Wizard tomorrow and again tell them not to use my number for testing. No point going to the DIA I think. It's not that they are continuing to spam a wide selection of the public, just me.

I was hoping that someone from one of the gateway companies could get in touch with them as there can't be that many, however, hopefully just calling them will work - although this will be, I think, the third time I have had to call them about this. Last time was in March.
