Hi guys,

Completely new to this forum, and I am not sure if this is being posted in the right place, or has previously been discussed. If so I apologize in advance!

I see 2 Degrees are currently hiring for customer support reps, and was wondering if anyone has worked in their contact centre currently or in past?

If so what is the work environment and progression opportunities like? Is it a good company to work for? Are there regular sort of social events etc?

Is there anyone who compare the role to something similar like at Slingshot, Spark, Vodafone etc?

Any insight working in their contact centre would be great:)

I have previous experience in the telecommunications industry both with customer service/tech and provisioning, so I believe I would be suitable to go for the role.

(Have posted something very similar in the Spark section as well, as they are also currently hiring for the same position)

Thanks :D

Where are you based in the country as that will depend on my answer. I have worked for Gen-i in the past and know people who work at 2D currently and others that have.

I'm based Auckland central. The role states it is based at their head office which I believe has relocated to New Market from Symonds Street?

Thanks

Head office is in Newmarket, but the contact centre is still at Khyber Pass.

Do you happen to know what departments are based at the main contact centre on Kyber Pass?

2D did have a call centre in Chch before they purchased Snap but this was disbanded.

The 2degrees Broadband Care team are still based in Christchurch as well as Khyber Pass Rd in Auckland along with the mobile support team.

We're always looking for dedicated, customer-focused people with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

For more info and new job vacancies please keep an eye on our Careers website - Working at 2degrees

Good luck! :)

Cheers

Sorry my post was a little vague I was meaning their use to be a 2D mobile team in Chch but this was disbanded, as mentioned above they have fixed line teams in CHCH.

I am going to be blunt as I know people who currently work for 2D and well as people who left and they aren't any different to any other telco so don't expect them to have any better benefits. They are not as good of an employer as they use to be.
