2degrees have basically bought out a Pokemon Go for finding free data. You can find small amounts like 100 or 250mb, and sometimes large amounts like 2gb

I must admit I did a bit of a double take when seeing the photo. Well done.

Can they team up with Chorus to do a fibre hunt next? :p

Google found me the T&C on the 2D website, but nothing on the actual website (or Facebook/Twitter)

Downloaded the app, found the 100MB and then got a text message that 80MB had been credited to my account. Not sure what happened to the other 20MB, but no big deal.
Next time the weather clears I'll head up the hill a few meters to the next stop and grab whatever is offered, and then down the hill and grab that one as well.

App didn't play nice with my camera though when entering AR mode (and unlike Pokemon Go, no obvious way to get out of it)

Yeah, from the T&C page, it seems like they've delayed announcing the promotion because of the earthquakes.

We considered suspending it but app store process delays (it had already been released) meant it was simpler just to stay quiet on it for a while.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

So when is the official release going to be?

I also grabbed 180MB of data this morning! :)

Went walking at lunch and got an addition 120MB from a couple of Dunedin waypoints.

Unlike Pokemon Go, you have to be so close to get the spin to "light up".

Is there any way to disable AR mode when trying to spin? It almost kills my phone each time I attempt

My first pin was located in the middle of my front lawn, didn't have to move 1 cm to get 180 MB (presumably this pin will be invisible to other players).
Unfortunately this data expires in 30 days and I just bought 12 GB 1st November so unless there is a way to covert the NZ bonus data to Mobile Zone Data I will not get to use even 1 MB.

Unless they use the 180MB before the 12GB

Doesn't like me :(.

Also the 'learn more' link isn't any use to figure out why: https://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/termsofuse/mobile/promotions/data-hunt-promotion

Once a pin has been swiped does it reload like a pokestop would or does it disappear for good?
