On 100/20 UFB with NF4V router since Dec last year.

Recently I have had overnight failures with no Internet access and no phone. I can log on to the router so router is seeing the LAN. Rebooting fixes the problem.

Dates are 19 Nov, 25 Nov and 13 Dec.

The router was factory reset after the 25 Nov outage. Firmware stayed same version.

Anyone else seeing anything like this recently?

Hi there,

Last night's drop would've been related to a BNG upgrade - you should be able to get back online after a reboot.

Not sure on the other two dates you mentioned, though, I don't have any records of work being done on those dates. One of the network guys on here might be able to shed more light. :)

Sorry for the drop - they shouldn't be too regular!

Cheers,

Cam

Thanks for your reply, Cam. Nice to know they're not all random events!

I'm seeing them too, usually around midnight.  Have to power cycle ONT next day.

Recent examples:

Cheers.

Interesting that we both had disconnects on two of my dates.

Would be good if our routers were restarted properly after this unwelcome attention.

Are you running .35 firmware? There is a wan keep alive to sort this issue.

Ok, that's .32 firmware. It looks like Orcon have their own build probably based on the Netcomm base firmware. They may release an update at some stage.

Yes, they certainly do have their own build. The WAN keep alive sounds like a good feature, though. Hope Orcon is listening!
