I notice that Takapuna is set to go live in April, going through the list I dont see Forrest Hill/Milford?

A note about the pricing, $99.95 a month for only 10GB? Is there a way to drop the unlimited number of national landline calls to drop the price?

Currently I'm with Orcon paying $79.95 for 20GB and tolls, cheap because of the free phone line for a year but going by these new packages I'll be paying $119.95 a month for 25GB if the orcon+ network ever covers Forrest Hill/Milford or a $129.95 if it doesnt.

I guess theres the Purple plan at $79.95... 10GB and no phone. Which doesnt really compare to other providers "naked dsl" which come with a free VOIP service.

I guess we'll see what happens further down the track, still have a few months before I have to decide.

Oh and if I changed over how hard is it to change back?

If you're in Milford you'll be on the Takapuna or Forrest Hill Exchanges, you can find out by looking at this excel file from Telecom

I.e My phone number is 09 489 xxxx, so std is 9, iein 9489 and I'm on the Takapuna exchange (I live near Carmel, The exchange is opposite Glengarry Wines in Takapuna - a good 3.5km away Frown)

I'm not on the Takapuna Exchange currently on the Forrest Hill exchange.

So looks like I'll be waiting awhile for that exchange but going by the pricing will be probably going with xnet ($89.95 20GB/VOIP phone) or snap net ($91.95 20GB and POTS phone line) anyway just before my free phone line with Orcon runs out. :)
