Hey

Signing up to unlimited naked VDSL with 2degrees as it's the cheapest/best offer for me right now.
24 month term - $49/mo for 1 year then $85/mo for 2nd year. ($10 discount for 2d plan)
Not sure on their charge to upgrade to UFB when it becomes available (1year)

So... the question...

(1) Use their fritz box 7490 ($30 fee) or use my Draytek Vigor 130 ?  ... Is the fritz box good?

(2) Is there are charge to switch to UFB when available, and what is the current UFB charge (it looks like it is the same rate as VDSL?)

Thanks
Kiwi

7490 for $30 is worth it. Yes it is a good SOHO router. You can also use it when and if you get UFB with 2D or other providers down the track.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Personally I dont like fritz box's. However that is one of the better models. And $30 is cheap so I would probably go for it.

It will also give you wifi and it will be UFB capable. The Vigor 130 (whilst being probably one of my favourite VDSL modems as its absolutely rock solid) doesn't have wifi, nor does it work with UFB.

yeah i got the fritzbox, it seems a lot better than my old router EA4500.  I probably wont bother using the DrayTek Vigor 130 with it unless it has connection issues, as it's nice just to have 1x box sitting in the lounge instead of two.
