I would like to use the billion 7800n than fritzbox (internal testing reasons).

I am connecting the HG8240H to the ewan port on 7800n, then using the following settings on the Billion

Main port Ewan

Protocol PPPoE

Auth protocol Auto

Username (username)@snap.net.nz

password (password)

MTU 1492

Vlan Mux 10

But seems like that is not working, I am receiving  the following error in the log. Is there anything I am missing?

The username and password is same which logs into https://secure.2degreesbroadband.co.nz/login/?next=/ (username with out the @snap.net.nz)

Jan 01 00:02:32 daemon pppd[1915]: PPP: Start to connect ...

Maybe try without the @snap.net.nz? Perhaps also try @2degreesbroadband.co.nz?

Here on VDSL the username on its own or username@snap.net.nz both seem to work.

Do you have the correct user credentials  since that's what the error is?

Would they be any different to the one used for https://secure.2degreesbroadband.co.nz/login ?
